Terms.

Draft - plain-language orientation, not a finished legal document. A lawyer reviews this and resolves the flagged items before the site goes live.

The short version

Join, use it, leave whenever you want with one click. We won't trap you, surprise-bill you, or sell you anything inside. The detail's below, in plain language. Email askme@mpowerhq.nz if anything's unclear.

Who this is for

MPower is for individuals who want the knowledge and the community for their own work. One person, one membership. It's not set up for buying seats for a whole organisation yet - if that's what you're after, email us and we'll talk.

The trial, and how billing works

  • Your first 30 days are free, with full access.
  • We capture your card at signup so there's no break and no surprise. We don't charge it during the trial.
  • On day 31 it converts to a paid membership at the rate you signed up on, and bills from there.
  • You can cancel in one click, anytime - including during the trial. Cancel before day 31 and you're not charged.
  • We email you before the trial ends. No "oops, didn't see it" - we'd rather you stayed because it's worth it.

What it costs

Pricing is in New Zealand dollars:

  • Founding Member - $49 NZD/month, locked for life. First 100 members only. When 100 is reached, the offer closes for good.
  • Pro Monthly - $79 NZD/month.
  • Pro Annual - $790 NZD/year (pay for ten months, get twelve).

A founding rate stays at $49 for as long as you keep your membership going. If you cancel a founding membership and rejoin later, it's at the standard rate then. Prices for new members can change over time; we won't change the price under you mid-term without telling you first.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel anytime, one click, from your account. Your access runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. No exit interview, no retention call.

Refund policy is Lisa's call and is stated plainly here once set. Suggested honest default: no refunds on time already passed, because the 30-day free trial means you've had a full month to decide before paying a cent.

This is orientation, not advice

This one matters, so it's in plain words. Everything in MPower - the library, the templates, the Health Check, the answers in the community - is plain-language orientation to help you understand the business side and ask better questions.

It is not legal, employment, tax, payroll or financial advice, and it doesn't replace your accountant, lawyer or a qualified specialist. Before anything binds you or your business - a contract, a tax position, an employment decision - get it checked by the right professional for your situation. We help you walk in informed. We don't sign off your decisions, and you make them.

Being part of the community

Keep it the kind of room you'd want to be in. Be straight with people, don't be a jerk, don't pitch or sell to the room, don't share other members' stuff outside without asking. We can remove anyone who makes it unsafe or turns it into a sales floor - that protects everyone else's reason for being here.

Using the templates and resources

The templates and resources are yours to use in your own business - that's what they're for. They're not for reselling, repackaging, or passing off as your own product. Use them, adapt them, lean on them. Just don't turn around and sell them.

Our promise back

No ads. No sponsors. No affiliate links. Nobody selling you anything inside MPower, including us upselling you. That's not a marketing line - it's a term, and it stays.

Changes, and ending things

If we change these terms we'll update this page, and if it's a real change we'll tell you directly. We can close an account that breaks the conduct terms. You can leave whenever you like. If MPower itself ever winds down, we'll give you fair notice and won't bill you past it.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.

To confirm before launch: jurisdiction wording and any required consumer-law statements - lawyer to set, kept as plain as they'll allow.
